Experiments in the Kitchen

Matt and I had a very lovely, relaxing Valentine's Day. I had off so I spent most of the day outside walking, catching up on phone calls and cooking a delicious feast.


Above is a photo of the first course:
heart shaped oatmeal rolls with dipping sauce and below, butternut squash soup below.


The main course was one of Matt's favorite dishes: angel hair pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, baby zucchini, roasted chicken, fresh Parmesan cheese and basil pesto.



We drank a bottle of Chianti from Matt's Uncle that we saved for a special occasion. He gave it to us with the wine rack he made us as a wedding present.







Matt was very happy with the book I got him. He's been wanting to read it for awhile: Eugene Peterson's -The Jesus Way.
